Cotswolds are beautiful, hotel was pretty but not best location

had to move room because of bad smell, not very clean, food wasn't great and expensive.

    Good

The food on the first night was very good but on the second night it was just O.K. The waiter, a Polish guy was very good and attentive. The log fire in the bar area was cheerful.

It could have been a bit cleaner.

Ideal for our needs on this occasion of meeting up with friends in a cogenial atmosphere.

    All ok

    Fabulous

It was ideal for access to all parts of the Cotswolds and the room was very comfortable and clean.

A little dissappointed with the Breakfast menu as no cereals were available and the bacon was very fat. I only had one evening meal during my stay which was of good quality but slightly overpriced and the portion was on the small size

    Very good

The room was comfortable and clean with a four poster bed. The breakfast was good and served promptly.

When we arrived at the hotel we discovered that our booking had not been recorded. Luckily there were still two vacant rooms otherwise we would not have been able to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is right on a very busy road and our room looked out on to the road. It was very noisy indeed. The place looked idylic on the web-site and the food sounded special. Neither was in fact the case. The hotel was quite scruffy and the food did not live up to its billing.

    Very good

It was a perfect location as we had an important appointment in Oxford early the following morning and were combining this with a short break in the Cotswolds. We appreciated the very warm welcome we received and our room was clean and comfortable.

When we have the time we do enjoy the television but found access to most stations on our bedroom set impossible. We do feel , had we reported it ,the matter would have been rectified. The service at breakfast time was lacking a little but the food served well made up fo it .

    Good

The food was excellent. We only booked bed/breakfast and evening meal for the first evening but we were so impressed with the food that we ate at the Inn every night. Good value for excellent food. Staff were very friendly.

Thought the room did not need all the mirrors on the wall it made the room so much smaller than it was.

    Very good

This inn has authenticity and character. The meals and four poster bed in our bedroom were excellent.

There could be better showering facilities in the bathroom.

location, but was too over priced and didnt feel any value for money. Room just above kitchen with constant noise of the exhaust fan, food really good, staff helpful. Did find a lot cheaper b & b nearby.

    Fabulous

    convenient for Cheltenham races

on the busy main A40 noisy early morning traffic

The food was of a good standard, although some items were advertised but were not available.

The hotel did not have a shower which was surprising, along with wood lice being present in our room. The food within the restaurant was good however, it was expensive for what was recieved, the same was true for the drinks. £15 for a main course in a pub is expensive, as is £6-7 for a starter and pudding. £18 for one of the cheapest bottles of wine.
